Do you have unbalanced skin?

Do you have shiny skin with small pores? Or maybe your face is shiny with large pores on your forehead and nose? If the answer to either of these questions is “yes” then instead of oily or combination skin types, your skin may be out of balance.
Unbalanced skin is not really a skin type but a skin condition. It occurs when your hormones are unbalanced; for example during your period, if you start or stop taking birth control pills or if you have been stressed.
An unbalanced skin gets oily but at the same time it reddens easily or loses its natural glow to the point that it can look almost grey.
So what to do? The answer is to try to rebalance your skin. Use mild and oil-free skincare products. Try to find a skin cream with polyhydroxy acids.
Opt for either moisturising or deep cleansing face masks with aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, pentavitin or kaolin in the ingredients. If you can, find a mild exfoliator with jojoba seeds and see a skin therapist for AHA-treatments that stimulate and rebuild your skin’s natural barriers
